The Story
The title of this soldada portrait adorned with bandoliers translates into “Kisses and Bullets”. One bandolier consists of loving roses while the other is a bandolier of angry bullets. It is a metaphor for the unpredictability of a significant other, rather male or female. Sometimes one cannot predict the mood of their partner and do not know if they will get besos (kisses) or balas (bullets). I pasted one tortilla (woman) on top of another one (sombrero) to highlight the round shape of the tortilla.
